Westlake Village

Westlake Village is a unique, master-planned community, located in Los Angeles County and bordering the City of Thousand Oaks and Ventura County to the east.  Westlake Village became the 82nd City in the County of Los Angeles as a result of an overwhelming vote on December 11, 1981.  Development of the lakeside community began in 1966 by the American Hawaiian Steamship Company.  With a total land area of 5.4 square miles, the community supports a population of 8,300.  Within the City limits are approximately 850 commercial and light industrial business firms.

In the heart of Westlake Village is The Westlake Yacht Club and the 150-acre man-made lake.  As a community focal point, the one-mile long lake offers 9 miles of shoreline boating, fishing and lakeside dining.  With a climate similar to the Mediterranean with warm Pacific Ocean breezes, one may enjoy the municipal 18-hole golf course in Westlake Village as well as any of the five championship courses and abundant of hiking trails nearby.

The City encompasses many picture perfect settings for it’s twenty individual neighborhoods, with active homeowners’ associations to promote and maintain high quality architectural standards.  An array of housing types matches virtually every lifestyle, including:  Condominiums, Lakefront residences, Mobile homes, Single-family, Townhomes and View-oriented estates.  Just 38 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean and beaches, Westlake Village is the perfect place for live, work and shop.
